GAME RECAP: Barnstormers vs. Sharks
DES MOINES - The Iowa Barnstormers fell to 1-7 on the season Saturday, suffering a 60-48 loss to the Jacksonville Sharks.
Iowa started its fourth quarterback of the season in former Montana & McNeese signal caller Clifton McDowell.
On top of four rushing touchdowns, McDowell helped the Barnstormers offense score one of its highest point totals of the season.
Iowa entered the halftime break down 32-14, but recaptured some momentum scoring on just three plays on the first drive of the third quarter.
Running back David Elder and wide receiver Kurtis Ravenel also accounted for touchdowns during the game. Ryan Dixon added an interception late in the fourth quarter.
The Barnstormers will return to the field to face the Tulsa Oilers on the road on Saturday, May 30 with kickoff set for 5:00 p.m. CT.
