GAME RECAP: Barnstormers @ Blizzard
DES MOINES - The Iowa Barnstormers were downed 55-19 by the Green Bay Blizzard Saturday, falling to 0-4 to start the season.
Quarterback Ivan Corbin made his first start at the position, throwing for a touchdown pass to Nasjzae Bryant-Lelei during the first drive of the game.
However, the Green Bay offense erupted in the first half, getting out to a 28-7 lead before the halftime break.
Wide receiver Andre Williams saw his first receiving touchdown on his only reception of the game. Fellow wideout Josh Simmons led the receiving corps with 46 yards on 3 receptions.
Corbin finished 9-15 with 92 yards, two passing touchdowns, and another score that he took to the end zone himself, but it wouldnt be enough for Iowa to complete a comeback.
Iowa will return to the Casey's Center in Des Moines, Iowa to take on the Fishers Freight in its next game on Saturday, April 25 (7:00 p.m.).
