GAME PREVIEW: Iowa Barnstormers vs. Sioux Falls Storm
Iowa Faces Sioux Falls June 17

Des Moines, IA – Playoff implications are on the line as the Iowa Barnstormers (13-2) look for its 12th win in a row as they take on the Sioux Falls Storm (13-2) in the must-win regular season finale Saturday, June 17, 2017. Kickoff is set for 7:05 p.m. CDT at the Wells Fargo Arena.

Last week, the Barnstormers defeated the Spokane Empire with a 58-28 win at home last Friday night. Quarterback Travis Partridge scored seven total touchdowns with five of those coming through the air. All-IFL receiver Brady Roland was on the receiving end of three of those touchdowns, while also tallying 104 receiving yards. Defensively, the Barnstormer defense held the Empire to seven points in the first half. Corner Bryce Enyard had a game-high 11 total tackles, while corner Jamie Bender recorded another interception, his fifth in the last two games. The Iowa defense ranks third in points per game allowed and first in rushing yards allowed.

Last week, the Storm escaped the Nebraska Danger with a 41-38 win at home last Saturday night. Quarterback Lorenzo Brown scored four total touchdowns with two coming on the ground. Receiver Eric Shufford had a game-high 68 receiving yards and one touchdown, while running back Korey Williams also rushed for two touchdowns. For the Storm defensively, corner Elijah Fields recorded a team-high 10 tackles, while defensive lineman Cory Henry tallied two sacks in the contest.

The Barnstormers will also be hosting their Annual Alumni Night. Former Barnstormers players will be at the game to cheer on the 2017 roster as they make a final run for playoffs. Alumni will also be recognized on the field at half-time. In addition to Alumni Night, the Barnstormers will be hosting a “blackout” night. Fans are encouraged to wear black shirts to the game. The first 1,000 fans through the door will receive a free t-shirt courtesy of Scrap Processors, Inc.
