Roland Earns IFL Honors DES MOINES - Iowa Barnstormers wide receiver Brady Roland was named the Indoor Football League's Offensive Player of the Week for Week 17, the League announced today. Roland (6'2, 185, Grand View University) earned IFL Offensive Player of the Week Honors after the Iowa Barnstormers topped the Spokane Empire 58-28, winning their 11th consecutive game in Week 17. Roland continues to prove why he is one of the most dominant wide receivers in the IFL. Against the Empire, Roland caught four passes for 104 yards and three touchdowns. Roland made the first two scores for the Barnstormers on the night as he snagged long touchdown passes of 29 and 45 yards. The 2016 First Team All-IFL receiver finished his night with a staggering average of 26 yards per catch. This marks Roland’s second Player of the Week honors this season, previously earning Offensive Player of the Week 15. Roland and the Barnstormers return home on Saturday, June 17 as they take on the Sioux Falls Storm at Wells Fargo Arena. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. Playoff implications are on the line as the Barnstormers and the Storm battle for the #1 seed in the United Conference. The first 1,000 fans at the game will receive a black t-shirt courtesy of Scrap Processors, Inc. as the team hosts a blackout night. The Indoor Football League awarded defensive back Allen Chapman of the Arizona Rattlers with Defensive Player of the Week, while kicker Miles Bergner of the Colorado Crush earned Special Teams Player of the Week.
