Simmons Returns to Barnstormers
Iowa Barnstormers Sign DL Reshard Simmons

DES MOINES – The Iowa Barnstormers have re-signed defensive lineman Reshard Simmons for the 2017 season, Head Coach Dixie Wooten announced today.

Simmons (6-5, 240, Mars Hill University) is entering his second season in the Indoor Football League. Collegiately, Simmons began his career at Dean Community College before transferring to Mars Hill University. In two years with the Mars Hill Lions, Simmons appeared in 15 games finishing with 57 total tackles and two sacks. Simmons first joined the Barnstormers during the 2016 season, appearing in 13 games and recording 44 total tackles and two sacks.

“I’m happy to be part of the Barnstormers because from the ownership all the way to the fans, they show a lot of love and support,” said Simmons. “I want to bring a lot of positive energy on and off the field and of course help as much as I can with wins.”
