Barnstormers Add Defensive Tackle
Iowa Barnstormers Sign DL Mark Crawford

DES MOINES - The Iowa Barnstormers have signed defensive lineman Mark Crawford to their 2017 roster, Head Coach Dixie Wooten announced today.

Crawford (6-2, 315, Kentucky) joins the Iowa Barnstormers for his first season in the Indoor Football League (IFL) and with the Iowa Barnstormers. Collegiately, Crawford played three years at the University of Kentucky recording 49 total tackles. Crawford is no stranger to the indoor game, having spent time in the Arena Football League (AFL) with teams such as the Arizona Rattlers, Jacksonville Sharks, and San Antonio Talons.

"Signing Mark is another step in the right direction for our defense," said Coach Wooten. "He's a SEC nose guard that was in the AFL. He's big, fast, and physical. He's made to take on the double team and keep our linebacker clean. He's a big sign for our defense."

Crawford will take one of 40 spots at the Iowa Barnstormers 2017 training camp in February.
