SPEED DATING: D'Angelo McCray![]() SPEED DATING: Meet the Barnstomers This is our new feature SPEED DATING where we give you a crash course introduction to each member of the 2017 Iowa Barnstormers roster! In this edition, we're going to introduce you to offensive lineman D'Angelo McCray. McCray (6-5, 335, Memphis) joins the Iowa Barnstormers for his fourth season in the Indoor Football League (IFL). McCray is an IFL veteran having spent two seasons with the Nebraska Danger and one season with the Green Bay Blizzard. Over the course of his IFL career, McCray has seen two United Bowl championship games. Prior to joining the IFL, McCray was signed to the New York Giants roster as an undrafted free agent in 2012. What does McCray bring to the table? Head Coach Dixie Wooten is looking forward to his leadership and hard work. "He's going to bring veteran leadership and understanding of the game as a hardworking offensive lineman," said Coach Wooten. "I'm excited about having McCray join the Barnstormers. I can't wait to see him in camp and to bring that O-Line leadership that's greatly needed in football." We asked McCray a few quick questions to get to know him better, check it out below: What's your sign? Pisces Favorite Food: Sushi Favorite TV Show: Power Who is someone you look up to the most: "My old high school coach, Coach Sullivan. He groomed me as a young man and pointed me in the right direction to help me get to college." If you weren't playing football, what would you be doing? "I would use my degree in sports marketing to try and get on with any professional club to help out with their marketing field." What other sports did you play growing up? "Baseball. I played in the Little League World Series." What is something that's on your bucket list? "To travel to as many countries as possible and to sky dive." Where is some place you've always wanted to visit, but haven't? China What is your greatest achievement thus far? "When I got picked up by the New York Giants and I was a high school all-American and played in the US Army All-American Game." What are you most excited about in coming to Des Moines? "New city, new opportunities, new people." What is something you want the fans to know about you? "We're getting into the playoffs."
