Barnstormers Add Offensive Lineman
OL Elijah Smith joins 2021 roster

DES MOINES – The Iowa Barnstormers have signed offensive lineman Elijah Smith to the 2021 roster, Head Coach Ameer Ismail announced today.

Smith (6-7, 300, Kansas Wesleyan University) joins the Iowa Barnstormers for his rookie season in the Indoor Football League (IFL). Collegiately, Smith spent four years at Kansas Wesleyan University where he appeared in 33 games with the Coyotes. Smith racked up numerous athletic and academic honors during his college years, earning Second Team All-KCAC (2017), First Team All-KCAC (2018, 2019), First Team All American (2018), and appearing on the President’s Honor Roll several times.

“Eli is a big and athletic lineman who was All-American and likely would have been at an NFL camp this year if it wasn’t for covid,” said Coach Ismail. “I want to see him come to camp and compete.”

Smith will enter the team's 2021 Training Camp in the Spring.
