Defensive Back Bryce Enyard

Welcome back to SPEED DATING, where we give you a crash course introduction to each member of the 2017 Iowa Barnstormers roster! Today we’re going to introduce you to defensive back Bryce Enyard.

Enyard (6-0, 195, Northwest Missouri State) joins the Iowa Barnstormers for his rookie season in the Indoor Football League (IFL).Enyard had an impressive collegiate career at Northwest Missouri State University where he played for four seasons. By the end of his collegiate career, Enyard had earned MIAA freshman of the year, Second Team All-MIAA as a freshman, Third Team All-MIAA as a junior, First Team All-MIAA as a senior, and CCA All-Region Second Team Honors his senior season.

Enyard was signed to the Barnstormers after appearing at the team’s open tryout in November. “Signing a guy like Bryce shows what open tryouts are all about,” said Coach Wooten. “He came out, showed great football skills, and we knew he could play in this league. We are lucky to find a college D2 national champion defensive back.”

We asked Enyard a few quick questions to get to know him better, check it out below:

What is something that’s on your bucket list? “To travel in a hot air balloon.”

What is something you collect? “Movies.” Who was your childhood hero? “The Flash.”

Who is someone who inspires you? Why? “My Dad, because he's shown me to stay strong even in the toughest times and to never give up.”

Where is one place you have always wanted to visit, but haven’t? “Brazil.”

If a movie was made about your life, which actor would you want to portray you? “Derek Luke.”

What is your favorite sport to watch (other than football)? “Basketball.”

If you could have dinner with any celebrity, who would you choose? Why? “I would have to say Kevin Hart, just so I can laugh the whole time.”

Do you have any pets? If so, what? "I have a two dogs named Korver and Rico.”

If you weren’t pursuing football, what would you be doing? “Getting my masters and becoming a Health Consultant.”

What would you say is your biggest accomplishment in life thus far? “Winning two National Championships in my College Career.”

Do you have any hidden talents? What are they? “I’m pretty musically talented.”

What are you most excited about in joining the Iowa Barnstormers? “The different level of competition. I’m very excited to get out there and play.” What are you looking forward to in coming to Des Moines? “I’ve never been to Des Moines, but I’ve heard a lot of good things about the city.”

What is your goal going into the 2017 season? “Making an impact for the team and having an even better season than last.”

What is something you want the fans to know about you? “I love this sport and I’m very appreciative of the fact that this organization has given me the opportunity to play and I’m going to make the most of it.”
