SPEED DATING: Meet the Barnstormers
Defensive Back Dee Maggitt, Jr.

Welcome back to SPEED DATING, where we give you a crash course introduction to each member of the 2017 Iowa Barnstormers roster!

Today we’re going to introduce you to defensive back Dee Maggitt, Jr.

Maggitt (5-10, 180, Hawaii University) joins the Iowa Barnstormers for his second season in the Indoor Football League (IFL). Collegiately, Maggitt played four years at Hawaii University playing in 44 total games. In his senior season in 2014, Maggitt appeared in all 13 games, making five starts at cornerback. Maggitt finished his final college season with 42 total tackles, including two tackles for loss, one forced fumble, and one quarterback hurry and led his team with seven pass breakups.

What is Coach Wooten looking for from Maggitt? “Signing Dee is a big upgrade to the defense. He was second team all-league as a rookie, so that speaks to his talent. With a year under his belt, he has the chance to be first team and a shot to play at the next level.”
